Re: Final call
If the side judge and replay official are not asked by the conference on Monday to find another hobby on the weekends next Fall, I'd like to see us remove the American logos and patches off our uniforms and playing surfaces. This conference showed it's a joke during the Houston baseball series two y...

Re: Mike Leach says CFB should have a real playoff, not 4 teams
Here's my proposal: There are 10 FBS conferences. Each conference champion gets in. Six at-large births selected by committee. Seed teams #1-16; if all else is equal, seed with a preference towards reduced travel - i.e. Mac champ at Big Ten champ, Sun Belt at SEC, etc. Start the season one week earl...

Re: Yulman Stadium (Benson Field)
The key is WINNING. Saturday night was a blast. Energetic crowd (even if 1/2 were from ULL), fantastic finish to the game, and the celebration of winning. Exiting the stadium while the team was running to the locker room with fans 4-5 deep on both sides of the barricades hollering and slapping fives...

44 pts in last 4 games. Take away our offensive outbursts against a 1-aa school and a winless school and that's 61 points in 6 games. In comparison OK State scored 70 today and OU scored 62. Houston put up 34 in a shutout of a SEC school.

Re: Prices's staying
I hate to play "what if," but if we make a freaking 21 yard FG against Tulsa, Lee is a hero with a phenomenal game and a game winning drive in his first start. Instead, he throws a pick to end the game in double OT and didn't stop throwing them the rest of the season. Wonder how his confid...

Re: Prices's staying
Someone above nailed it re: Lee and the offense. It's not the number of picks that concerns me. I expect even with substandard coaching that the INTs will decrease next year due simply to Lee maturing. It's the lack of any points that's the killer. Based solely on maturity and experience, the play a...

Re: Tulane Redzone defense ranked #2 in the nation
Kudos to the defense for turning things around after the first few games. They have definitely improved as the season has gone on. They've also been behind the 8-ball more this year than last. While last year's offense was not good at all, we at least didn't have a lot of turnovers and missed fgs. T...

Re: Shame on you Tulane administration!
Scott is being lied to. How could we lose money if there are 10-15k people at the games. Yes we'd lose money on Cohen vs Carver. It's total BS Jesuit vs Rummel is cost prohibited. It's a typical BS line Tulane is using. That would be not much less than what we now really draw. Right, the schools wo...

Re: Shame on you Tulane administration!
Tulane should be proactive and seek to right this oversight come playoff time. Thanks to the split, all Catholic league teams plus St. Paul's, Catholic-BR, John Curtis, and Evangel will be in the same play-off bracket. Tulane is out of town the weekend of the division's quarterfinal round and plays ...

Not directed at you sader, but I don't understand the complaining here from last weekend by those at the game. You're honestly saying you couldn't find a way to enjoy si...

Re: Yulman Game Day Ops Feedback Requested
I found the game day ops to be the worst of the three games last night. My poor three year old couldn't catch a break. First, after talking about the "cool tunnel with the lights" all day, we were told it was now a students only entrance. This is also mind boggling because now the folks wi...

Re: What won't happen; what can happen
I still think CJ is the guy. He is extremely well liked in Louisiana coaching circles and is an outstanding talent evaluator. I think the staff needs a shakeup and someone needs to have a larger hand in discipline and running the day to day. Fixing Special Teams would go a long way as well. +1 If n...

So what would be more embarrassing on TV - a well-positioned camera on the club side that shows the small, but at least full, west sideline, or a lower-positioned camera on the west side that reveals a more impressive looking, though mostly empty, east side?

Re: Tulane 35 - Southeastern 20
Major part of the second half problems is the lack of a consistent run game. We can't just grind it out, wear a team down, and run down the clock in the second half. I don't have the exact numbers in front of me, but it certainly seems like outside of Badie's 90+ and 70+ yard runs against Tulsa, our...

Great experience. Looking forward to it under the lights this week. If I had to find something to gripe about, it would be the lack of fountain drinks and root beer. My three year old got hung up last week on trying a root beer at the game and then there was none. Fortunately the ice cream cart took...

Please make it more than a year. Not sure how long you've been a self-professed "fan" to begin with, but if you stuck through the last 30 years like I have, there's no English word to adequately define your actions of leaving after Thursday night. Sorry you will miss out on the good times ...

Re: That's how you choke
I'm not hanging on to the "one year away" line as an excuse. These are exactly the type of games we need to win. But realistically, we made our first bowl game in a decade in CJ's second year and off that team we lost alot of defensive talent. Defense is the area where we struggled most to...

Re: That's how you choke
We're not there yet. Program still needs to learn how to win. While we won a few close ones last year, we also failed will ourselves to victory in games against UTSA, FAU, and the bowl game. Same thing occurred tonight. Could have put this game away in the first half and didn't. On the bright side, ...
