Re: Tulane 21 - Army 17

Let's see if this is the game that gets program turned around. I love the message Fritz sent today...we aren't playing for the tie, we are playing for the win. Clearly Banks isn't 100% healthy, he took some shots today, buy showed tremendous heart and toughness. Props to #21, who I always slam, on t...

Re: Tanner Lee

Lee was and is a turnover machine. I called him Pick Six Lee. It was easy to blame poor coaching and bad talent around him at Tulane, but it looks like the same old Pick Six Lee at Nebraska.

Re: Fritz offense

I call BS on the Fritz offense. He has to bring it into the 21st century. There has to be balance between running and passing. We were told Brantley struggled last year because he had mono, lost weight, and had an injured shoulder. There's no improvement in the passing game this year. If we can't th...

Re: Oklahoma 56 - Tulane 14

I didn't watch the game. Kept checking the internet for updates. From 14-7 lead to 49 unanswered points. I predicted 55-20 defeat. Most disappointing again, like a broken record, is this pathetic passing offense. It was the worst in the country last year and if it doesn't get better this year we wil...

Re: Navy 23 - Tulane 21

1. Recurring theme that I posted many times last season. A. We have to have a credible passing attack to win games in the AAC. 66 yards passing and we will continue to have a 1-7 conference record. B. #21 gets burned over and over again. He's toast! Why does he start? Onto Navy game: Navy is one of ...

Re: Navy Score Prediction Thread

We have a good coach, a good quarterback for this scheme , and a good defense. But, I'm not convinced we are ready to take next step, especially against a tough, well coached Navy Team on the road.

Re: Grambling GameDay Thread

We are well coached, we have a credible passing attack, and a Quarterback who can make plays. There's plenty of winnable games this season. It should be fun.

Re: Grambling Score Prediction Thread

The offense will be light years ahead of last year. I expect it to resemble Georgia Southern's offense that I watched in their bowl game after Fritz was hired by Tulane. It ran like a well oiled machine. My only concern with Jonathan Banks is can he stay healthy once he starts taking hits. Grambling...

Re: New facilities announcement

The Performance Center has to be the priority. I think the practice field on the roof is stupid. I would rather have the Performance Center built into the back of the north end zone, have part of the Performance Center overlook the Stadium like a Mezzanine level and then build an upper deck on top o...

Re: Grambling Game thread

We dominated Southern last year with just the running game. This game should be designed to give Banks confidence running the offense and we definitely need to see more balance in the passing game.

Re: 2017 Football Prediction thread

Last year we were a couple of plays away from a 6 win season with the worst passing attack in college football. Fritz and his staff can coach. Banks will be a big improvement at QB and if he falters a healthy Brantley will be much improved over his freshman year. Grambling Win by at least 3 TDs Navy...

Re: Lindsey Scott commits to LSU now transferring

Interesting that in Phil Steele's preseason football magazine he lists his Top 40 freshman QBs. Three of them are at Alabama. I would say there's a good chance at least two them will transfer at some point in their college career. So many kids go to the SEC because it's "The SEC" and don't...

Re: Ole Miss Hugh Freeze Resigns..

Not a chance would any sitting Head Coach take that job less than a month prior to fall camp. It's a recipe for disaster and you can't put your staff together in time and teach your playbook. Under any circumstance I can't see Fritz be offered or accepting the job after the season either. Ole Miss h...

Re: Football Recruiting 2018

I am without a doubt 100% convinced that Fritz knows what he is doing in every aspect as Head Coach. He knows how to run a winning program, he knows Xs and Os, and finally he had to learn the recruiting game in Louisiana and at Tulane.

Re: Boys Of Summer

Just found out last night while watching Home Run derby that Giancarlo Stanton was a Tulane commitment before he was drafted. I know Jay Bruce was too. It hurts to think what kind of talent could have been in a Tulane Baseball uniform.
