Re: AAC Tourney

Game time is 1:47. Graf said that due to weather there could be 4 games going on at the same time on the fields there in the Phillies minor league complex tomorrow.

For today it looks like we have a window from 2-5 to get the game in.

Re: David Pierce

I have said all along that it shouldn't have caused that much damage but it clearly dropped that group from being Regional worthy.

Re: AAC Tourney

Game one just ended. we start in 45 minutes.

The tournament needs to be on campus otherwise there'll always be low attendance.

Re: AAC Tourney

Looks like our game will definitely start late. Fortunately they have moved back the time that they predict heavy chances for rain till 4. The last thing we need is for Gillies to go a couple of innings and a then lose him to a long rain delay.

Re: David Pierce

First you say that there are no statistics to be able to measure their impact but then try to say the stats say otherwise. It is beyond foolish to not acknowledge their significant contributions to the team. Anyone that didn’t see the significant impact they had and that losing them was going to be ...

Tulane signee under Pierce now throwing 105mph for St Louis Cards. Unfortunately he got drafted and never made it on campus. https://twitter.com/tulanerecruits/status/998638456418029571 http://tulanegreenwave.com/news/2014/11/14/Baseball_s_Pierce_and_Staff_Announce_2016_Signing_Class.aspx Never mad...

Re: David Pierce

The 2017 team was a VETERAN, UPPERCLASSMAN DOMINATED team that had been to the NCAA tournament two years in a row. To suggest it was a lousy team that lacked talent belies the facts that you went to the games the two years prior and all of 2017. This coaching staff managed to get about as little ou...

Re: David Pierce

No one was drafted last year. Zubia never came here. So no it wasn't a talented team. You’re wrong. Ted Andrews and Corey Merrill were both drafted. Andrews went to the White Sox and Merrill the Dodgers. \ OK. Andrews did what for us? Still not a talented team and doesn't change the fact that Pierc...

Re: David Pierce

And, regardless of how many were or were not drafted, with that many upperclassmen on a team that went to a regional the year before, they should have been much better, with a chance to host, in 2017. Jewett even stated, multiple times, before the 2017 season started that he couldn't believe he inh...

Re: David Pierce

My point was he knew his streak was coming to an end here . I didn't say it was the only reason. Yes he was the 12th choice. He is a good coach. He can also recruit there. He had never dealt with the tuition issue as a HC and he did a poor job of recruiting here. bullsh*t he knew it was coming to a...

Pierce recruited Spoon and Zubia and both will be drafted. Zubia just decided to follow him to Texas. No way in hell does Pierce start last year 3-12.
One player that came here. Not a team.

Re: David Pierce

Sal Gozzo would not be happy with that post, win. We were totally out of catchers when Montalbano went down, and Sal's brother had to catch despite not being recovered from surgery the spring of 2017. That might have been a reason for his transfer. Kudo's to Sal for not going as well. To say that t...
