Re: AAC Tourney

Sure. Here’s my statement http://u.cubeupload.com/Tpstulane/67DBB2DA99F749D5B111.jpeg Right. You said we have more talent than UNO. I agree. I was trying to make a point that we play below our talent using UNO as an example. When we play to our talent level we usually win (3 of 4) over UH as an exa...

Re: AAC Tourney

Good news. First it appears tomorrow's game will be available on-line. The story on Tulane's site says it is. Secondly, ECU's story about tomorrow's game indicates they'll throw Burleson who threw 98 pitches on Friday. So he'll be doing that on two days less rest the same as Roper.

Re: Fritz Contract extension to 2023

Again, at this point, how could Kansas sell Fritz to their boosters? He’s 9-15 at Tulane, and at age 58, has never been affiliated with any P5 school. Only connection is he’s from Kansas. Now if Tulane goes 10-2 this year it’s a different story, but Kansas is more likely to hire a Coach affiliated ...

Re: Fritz Contract extension to 2023

No, but if he bolts one year after signing the extension, the buyout should be close to the value of the remaining years. Kansas (or any P5) can still afford it, but they might link buying out his contract to him agreeing to staying a certain number of years for that to "vest". Who knows? Let's see...

Re: Fritz Contract extension to 2023

Kansas will have the money to buy him out if they want him. You can be sure he's aware of the possibilities and didn't get himself boxed in. Still like to know. We knew David Pierce had a $1 million buyout for which Tulane is still getting paid on. https://www.burntorangenation.com/platform/amp/bas...

Re: Fritz Contract extension to 2023

I hope we have to find out. Unfortunately I could see him do it for the reasons the writer suggested. I also think that Kansas fans clearly know it's going to take some time. As to the offense I agree if he keeps running like he did until the middle of last season. If he runs it the way we did at th...

Re: AAC Tourney

Tulane beats the #1 seed 11-6 . Third time we've beaten them this year and we did it against the conference pitcher of the year for the second time. We advance to play ECU at 11:30 tomorrow. We'll be on a back diamond, Robin Roberts Field, so the game won't be broadcast. We have the talent to win t...

Hard to believe Tommy Bowden never coached us in a bowl game. 18-4 record in two years.
Oddly enough by his own choice . He didn't want to play in the Bowl in '97 and left for Clemson in '98.

Re: Fritz Contract extension to 2023

Depending on how you read this article it appears they weren't even required to buy a certain allotment but did agree to get the invite or they had to buy only 5,000:

Re: Fritz on verge of extension

If Tulane actually declined a bowl bid, that's the first I've heard of it. It would have been the first time to a Bowl since Mack Davis, If I'm not mistaken. But they were 7-4. Woody, Tim, can you guys confirm? I was not nearly as close to the team as I was working long hours on Wall St. at the tim...

Re: AAC Tourney

Game time is 1:47. Graf said that due to weather there could be 4 games going on at the same time on the fields there in the Phillies minor league complex tomorrow.

For today it looks like we have a window from 2-5 to get the game in.

Re: AAC Tourney

Looks like our game will definitely start late. Fortunately they have moved back the time that they predict heavy chances for rain till 4. The last thing we need is for Gillies to go a couple of innings and a then lose him to a long rain delay.

Re: David Pierce

First you say that there are no statistics to be able to measure their impact but then try to say the stats say otherwise. It is beyond foolish to not acknowledge their significant contributions to the team. Anyone that didn’t see the significant impact they had and that losing them was going to be ...
