Re: Lindsey Scott

GL I get your perspective. But again it's why these fan forums exist. Most here don't have anyone to talk to about Tulane athletics. It's just viewed as such a joke here. So people come and vent. It's fine. If anything he read on a message board scared him off then he's certainly not someone anyone ...

Most of the credit goes to Milton himself.

Re: SMU Game 2 Thread

Had our chances but didn't cash in. Too many unforced turnovers and missed some easy shots in the second half. Score looked worse b/c we had to foul at the end. Paul is back to being a non factor after he had a god three game stretch a little while back. Cornish can always be counted on for his slop...

Re: SMU Game 2 Thread

Got off to that sizzling start which helped us make it through the sloppy middle part when SMU started pressing us. Nice to see us with Frazier on Milton. Shutting him down. It's also nice to see us being more aggressive against the zone. Still very much in it down 30-27 at the half.

Re: Lindsey Scott

That's nice but he can't throw the ball and that's why he was moved. We don't want to be one dimensional again. GC would have had receivers now that he didn't have then.

Re: Tulane Women Basketball

It doesn't change the facts. We haven't reached any great heights. We were in a weak CUSA most of the time. As Box noted we've lost good players right after they got here. If we are going to say we can't win because the other team has more resources we might as well give it up. Time to get it fixed...

Thanks. I knew he committed to Texas Southern but didn't know if was still at Tulane to finish up his degree this semester.

That's a possibility but he can't throw the ball. We would be back to being one dimensional. Plus he's going to be needed at RB. The staff has time and hopefully will land some players at the position.

Re: Lindsey Scott

No question we need help. If GC hasn't actually started going to his new school maybe we could keep him. The staff needs to get an experienced one and a true freshman.

Re: Lindsey Scott

Brantley and McClain's departures had nothing to do with Scott. it had to do with unhappiness over their situations. Remember McClain wasn't recruited as a QB by other schools. They wanted him as a WR/TE. He wasn't the answer for us at QB.

Re: Tulane Women Basketball

I'm not disparaging her. There was only a two year period where we didn't play LSU. She's 8-14 against them and most of those wins have come after their program started their slide. She's 3-11 in the NCAA tourney. Like I've said I don't give into the LBS. Just getting there isn't enough. You need t...

Re: SMU Game 2 Thread

The flip side is they lost Jarrey Foster 5 minutes into the WSU game. He sprained a knee. He's their second leading scorer and leading rebounder. They had another back up player already out with an injury so they were shorthanded. Seems like they had to use a lot of emotion to win that one. Hopefull...

Re: Tulane Women Basketball vs USF

Here’s a list of Lisa’s NCAA appearances: 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2010, 2015 2 in the last 14 years. That's unacceptable. And the team is a basketcase right now...and that's with the best players she's had here in a decade. She should not have some "coach as long ...

Dunleavy said at his introductory press conference that he'd love to play big games in Fogelman, and make it the home court advantage that it has the potential to be. I haven't read where he wants to get to the SKC, but I'm sure he wants to grow the program so that big games demand much more capaci...

Re: Houston Game Thread

Calipari loves fogelman Yeah. I'm sure he wants Kentucky to downsize. The best we ever got was getting to the first weekend of the tourney. It's why Perry wanted to play elsewhere. He wanted better talent to make deeper runs. It was fun to finally make it but if you wanted to keep climbing you need...

Re: Houston Game Thread

Perry felt the same way about getting out of fogelman as would any big time coach. I personally don't believe it's a hinderance to recruiting. If it rocks , it's a players gym and rockin fogelman energizes the players like a big empty arena cant. Move that Houston game to SKC and it's the same 2200...

Re: Houston Game Thread

I don't like the SKC center unless it's a feature game. There is zero soul or atmosphere there. Tulane athletics belong at Tulane. I don't want to see Tulane repeat the mistakes of the football team in playing away from home while "at home". A 19-1 Tulane will play in front of 25% capacit...

Re: Houston Game Thread

It would be tough to move out of there. No one has a more emotional attachment to the gym than I do. That said if we want the program to be a success and stay a success it will be necessary to do so. There can be no meaningful expansion which means we can't cash in on a successful program. We have b...

Before RD started the lie of 4,000 capacity it was listed at 3,200 after the last renovation. The crowd was announced as 2,300. The announced numbers are getting more legit as we are getting more people there.

Re: Houston Game Thread

We have been getting good attendance the whole time the students have been gone. It was certainly understandable that many didn't show last night with all the road closures. We'll continue to have good crowds. Now if we start a winning streak we could see it filled before the season is over.
