Re: Future OOC Games

We were actually drawing good crowds when we moved in. But again this isn't about Tulane's lease. This is bout the fact that Benson doesn't own the Dome. But we all know you'll never admit you're wrong.

The opportunity was always there. As usual Tulane took the low road. So do you.

Re: Jake Gautreau named Asst coach at Miss St.

Rough series for MSU's offense. In three of the four games they only scored a total of 5 runs. Can't win like that. JP , who could never crack the starting rotation there , was only called on to throw one inning.

Re: Future OOC Games

LOL. How pathetic. Nothing to concede. The HS Championships have been held there for 40 years. That overlaps with Tulane's lease. The High schools had a different lease. Once again you can't admit you have tried to mislead Tulane fans on a substantive issue. Things never change. You can try to yoggi...

Re: Future OOC Games

Not kidding. I never said we didn't have a good lease. I said we chose the cheapest one which based on how they let the program go to sh*t was good. There are other lease options as the one HS championships took proves. I have posted the article about their lease every time you have come back on her...

Re: Future OOC Games

Benson could never make anything off of Tulane games or any other event . He got all revenue from his game days. You're just wrong on this and always have been. There are various lease options. Tulane chose the cheapest. The HS's chose to pay more rent in order to get revenue from parking and conces...

Re: Future OOC Games

Like I said Benson doesn't own the Dome and doesn't get all the revenue from every event there as you told people for years. The HS championships are played there and they get cuts of all the revenue. Tulane chose the low rent option. There are other options so that you get a slice of the revenue. W...

That's not 19 years in a row. It's called an upset. One in fact that was long overdue with a 16 finally beating a 1. LOL.

Re: #1 seed jinx in Omaha 19 years in row now

That's b/c in this sport you don't always have the best starter on the mound for every game. In the other sports you have your same starters for every game. Not the case in baseball at the most important position.

Re: Future OOC Games

tufinal4, that's exactly my point: it makes more sense to play Tulane every year than it does to play some of the rent-a-wins they play each and every year. It would take some creativity, and probably some concessions from the 'Dome, (like splitting the gate, parking and concessions in New Orleans)...

Re: Future OOC Games

They can’t be nutless, they play in the toughest division of the toughest conference in the country and routinely play at 1 Top 25 OOc opponent per year. Their AD is a moron and even LSU fans despise him. They aren’t giving road games to Non P5 teams and we want a home game. They have nothing to ga...

Re: Future OOC Games

With all due respect Sader, I have a dozen or more LSU friends in N.O. who to a man acknowledge LSU should play Tulane vs the worthless rent a games they have now, and would be happy to see some games in N.O. as part of that. There are lots of LSU fans in N.O. who never see them play because they d...

Re: Future OOC Games

We're going to have to beat the middling P5 programs & somewhere in the not too distant future we are going to have to pull off a top fifteen victory. We will always be treated as the Sh*tbird program until we start defeating good teams. If/when the football coaching staff leaves, let us all hope t...

D, you answered your own question a few posts ago. I bolded it. They have little to gain and a lot to lose. It would not make good business sense on their part to legitimize us as a rival.
As I said above. They are nutless.

Re: Future OOC Games

And not for nothing, but look at how well the Tulane v LSU baseball games draw even when we stink. LSU didn't sell out a single game last year. They still ranked 6th in the country in attendance. But I cannot imagine Tulane vs. LSU not doing at least as well as LSU vs. Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Missour...

Re: Future OOC Games

99% of my friend are LSU fans. They have absolutely zero interest in playing us in football and it has nothing to do with the possibility of losing to us. It’s getting extremely expensive and time consuming to go to LSU games in Baton Rouge and the only thing that moves the needle for them is SEC g...

Re: Future OOC Games

OSU has the elite players that could physically put a heavy toll on ours that could carry over. Wake and GT are just well coached teams that would not do the same. It'sthe type of schedule that we need. As much as we want to talk our conference up it still doesn't have teams that excite many fans. ...

Transfer

Freddie Canteen, a WR , is transferring in and will be eligible immediately. He went to Michigan and transferred to ND. He could have two years of eligibility. He's had injury issues. He's reportedly finally healthy. This could be a really good pick up.

Re: Tulane Baseball still amongst the Elites

This is just Curtis Akey doing his job of putting a positive spin on things. He’s good at it. We just lost wo pitchers to the pros. The coaches are scrambling to get some good arms in so they want a positive vibe out there.
