Re: 2024 US News & World Rankings (tie) #73 Tulane University

Actually, had we done more on DEI would’ve been higher in the rankings. Did you actually look at how the methodology of the rankings changed? The reason for DEI at places like Harvard, is to compensate for all of the legacy admissions they give out. There aren’t a lot of minorities getting legacy ad...

With all due respect, she's coaching in the NAIA division and we really need a complete break from Stockton era.

Re: Thoughts on a day at the Ladies Basketball Game

We have no shortage of lawyers on this board who know employment law better than me, particularly in Louisiana. But if the contract was to coach basketball and the employer says "to get paid you have to give up basketball and become a fundraiser" I'd expect that's a breach of contract on ...

Re: Thoughts on a day at the Ladies Basketball Game

I wish Lisa no ill will. I just want her to either recommit to the recruiting trail , hitting it harder than ever. If she's unwilling or thinks she cannot bring the talent to win, she should retire. She's had a hell of a career, maybe it's time to walk away. Way too late for that; She's had her cha...

Bryce Drew. Grand Canyon. 64-27. 2 NCAA tournaments. I'd like Bryce Drew personally of these. Drew scored a Dunleavy at Vanderbilt. Yikes! As for Hunter, you have a coach who a)hasn't sniffed postseason in 5 years; b)refuses to be open to change in either staff or philosophy. Now put on top of that...

Women's hoops is now 3-11, dead last.
Stockton should inform Harris right now of her intent to retire at the end of the season and have her resignation letter on Harris' desk the day after the season ends. She owes it to Tulane.
But she won't.

Re: Going to be a long spring and summer for AD Harris

The first one that needs to be out the door is Stockton. She's a walking billboard of old Tulane. She's also politically the hardest to push out (among the close to a half dozen head coaches that need to go). Getting her out would send a message that AD Harris needs sent.

Re: AAC #7

None of the G5s are clearly superior, as the AAC was until 2023. So it doesn't matter. What matters is us at least splitting the OU and KSU games and winning the rest. To that end, a weaker AAC might be helpful.
A bad look is for the AAC to compare itself to the sunbelt.

"Lady Wave" is condescending. We aren't the "Man Wave" either. Our teams are the "Green Wave." And yes, after spending a decade in mediocrity, instead of abiding the obvious signs, we extended and coronated, and, as expected, the bottom fell out. She got her 30 years, s...

But you have no idea how big it was. Again all the projections from services are just that: guesses. Doesn’t take much to know that 38 schools wanted him and it came down to those three. He definitely got a huge bag to go to the Vols. He said he “heard from” 38 schools. These P schools may be awash...

Yeah, dillydallying around with facilities probably pissed him off. But that’s as much on Dannen who had itchy feet as well. And he did try to go to Georgia Tech last year. Great day for Tulane football. We could very well be in a better position today with David Harris and Jon Sumrall than a few months ago with Dannen and Fritz.
