The TV portion of those revenues made up a small percentage for most of the conference members, but a large percentage for Tulane,
No it is not.

Re: Dannen drop kicks a C-USA hornet's nest

We spent 1 year in the New C-USA and made a bowl; we had equal or better teams in 2014, 16 and 17, but simply played much more difficult schedules.
2015 was probably as good as 2013 too, but they just gave up and packed it in.

Re: Sports Illustrated Article on Billy Napier & Cajun Football Program

Fanatico, I see our friend Boomer is regenerating the 1980s BS that all the Metro schools, from Cincinnati to Florida State, all wanted USL, but Tulane blackballed them. A former USL AD told them this nonsense, and the USL fan chomped on it like red meat and haven't let go. It was ludicrous on its f...

Re: Graff mentioned in 5 possible candidates for Saints PBP job

If Graff takes the Saints gig, then lure Jim Henderson out of retirement to do Tulane football only. Since Jim likes to have former football players as color commentators, get Matt Forte to do that. Then you would have two guys with NFL experience (broadcasting and playing) doing college football. ...

Re: Pitching Coach Tighe Dickinson Resigns

It's risky for Latham to come to Tulane; it's also risky for him to stay at Southeastern: he doesn't make much money, that staff hasn't moved on despite several good seasons, and continuing to make NCAAs at SELU is no certainty either, in which case he is stuck. And a successful stint at Tulane woul...

Re: 31 losses (33 when TU gets eliminated)

. New coaches have new ways of doing things. Last years seniors screwed themselves and their teammates by not adjusting. Players will be gone and we have some that clearly aren't up to playing at this level. There's certainly a lot of truth to that. Still, I just haven't seen a thing from this coac...

This could get hairy for Tulane and Willie Fritz.
Dannen gets a dream job and immediately hires Willie Fritz. Both get to go close to home and double their salaries.
Dream job?
And I'm sure he's KS' dream candidate.
Whatever you have to tell yourself.

Did we really bunt with 1st and 3rd, 1 out in the 8th? Dannen needs to do his job. Yep and it resulted into a double play. The runner at 3rd had no business getting doubled up the ball was right in front of him. Earlier we got picked off from 2nd with two outs. Even earlier we got thrown out at hom...

I still like his Fritz and Dunleavy hires.
But his big issue now is addressing women's basketball and, soon, women's golf. He can't allow these sports to deteriorate further.

Re: For what it's worth

ON paper (ESPN recruiting ratings) the class coming in is similar to the last few classes. Maybe it's better - I hope it is. But where's the recruiting been for the last few years? And then there's the issue of steady decline - turning a once NCAA program into a NIT program. And we've basically been...
