Correct.
These kind of moves need to happen.

Re: Coaching Changes

That’s true, but one could say the same thing about Chad Morris. It’s true that SMU is bowl eligible this year, but that’s not a big deal for that program. This is their 5th bowl team in over 30 years. SMU hasn't fielded a ranked team (end of season), without cheating, in nearly 50 years. Morris' C...

Re: Coaching Changes

We don't want anyone from his staff if he leaves. This is the WF show. He calls all the shots at every level. Good for him but not for the advancement of his staff. Whenever he leaves it has to be a wide open search. It would be a huge mistake to do otherwise. Well you are probably right. But I sti...

Re: Coaching Changes

If Willie Fritz goes to interview with SMU, (highly doubtful) I would tell him don't bother coming back. yes, that would be disappointing. I don't see it on a number of levels, including the reality that SMU has the same basic problem we do: lack of butts in seats. I think Tulane should bump Fritz ...

Re: Football Recruiting 2018

Its become pretty obvious in the past two recruiting seasons just how much Fritz (and Tulane) value grades. Not sure if its Tulane forcing it on Fritz, or Fritz knowing it takes those kinds of kids to handle the school part of Tulane, but there have been more players we've seen with offers from Ivy...

Re: Post season analysis

I don't think he's the most dynamic Xs and Os coach I've ever seen. May need to upgrade coordinators, but I think he will probably adapt as well. I see a lot of progress as a program. It's taken a while to get his recruiting bearings, but it's coming around. The team is disciplined - don't turn the ...

To be clear I wasn't talking about people being above critique. My post was about the fact that we finally have some positive things happening and we should all be enjoying it and be focused on it yet we have some childish people trying to play gotcha. What makes it worse is they are off the mark w...

Fritz botched the end of the Navy and Cincy games. But that has nothing to do with him not being experienced at this level of football..the things he botched are the things you face at any level of football. HIs offense may not be sophisticated enough for this level. We'll see if changes are made. ...

Re: Wave over Miami(OH.) 80-59 go to 5-0

We lost to McNeese State and Texas State at home last year. We're obviously massively better. Florida State will be a better test than UNC; but I'm interested to see how our better players- Frazier and Embo and a couple of others- match up with UNC and how the team deals with a negative talent diffe...

Re: Baby Isla helps Wave whip Houston 20-17

You don't think there's a lot of P5s that do OK even if they only get an average hire? I think you could put CJ at an LSU and they'd win 6 games every year just due to talent. They didn't in the 1990s. They probably could withstand one now, but very few schools can. Now Tulane is more coach sensiti...

The recruiting has fallen way off under this coach. Re: COACH WF BUZZ

I'd think Kansas would be interested - they might see the option as a path to respectability; they also recruit NOLA very well right now and might see a natural bridge. Football ops is a must; as are raises across the board and increased recruiting budget. But, as always, it's how you replace that i...

Scott would fit with most SEC offenses; the only ones he really wouldn't fit with are LSU and Alabama.
He'd be nice here. He'd be, what, a sophomore, sit for a year, and then take over for 2.

Re: Tulane destroys the Hurricane- 62-28

By the way, did you notice just how deep we went on the bench? PJ Hurst got QB time, Miles Strickland, Andrew Zuckerman and even Jared Bertrand got rushing carries. If we had stuck with our starters the whole game, we would have been in the 70's easy. Not only that- they ate up most of the last 5 m...
