Re: Seat Licenses

Does anyone in the athletic department have a degree in marketing or finance? WTF are they thinking? I was considerimg getting season tickets again for the first time in 3 years. Well, if this goes through , I will gladly stay home and watch the games on TV instead. This is insane Well, I planned o...

Re: Seat Licenses

Tulane is in a tough spot here. Nobody wants to pay more and Tulane would rather not have to do it. The problem it’s faced with is that there’s a need to somehow replace the Yulman stadium pledges that are soon to be rolling off. To compete with the other AAC schools and to become attractive to a P...

Re: Seat Licenses

With next to zero demand for tickets, seat licenses would be the end of many season ticket holder purchases. We need to win and win big and regularly to create demand. If and when we have demand, seat licenses MIGHT not drive off our fans. Right now it would kill the fan base that, quite frankly, s...

We are Tulane. We can never assume a W and no one does.
Ha of course. My expectations are a little elevated . Which is extremely foolish on my part. I’ll be extremely disappointed if we don’t leave Ohio 2-2 at worst.

Re: Interesting Athlon Rankings

Clark had a tommy Bowden like rise in the ranks. If he wins 10+ he’ll be moving on . That’s a dangerous game on the road. IMO, escaping that game with a W and going to The horse shoe 3-0 would be massive. Massive. It would at least be a story heading into the game. Fritz will have to have them focus...

Re: 32, 211, last 7

When I saw the figure I thought someone actually counted the seats in yulman. Dog days following up a garbage baseball season with a program going nowhere. Our fan base is beaten down and disinterested. It’s pretty much on Willie fritz to save us. I don’t envy him for that task. It’s always slow thi...

Re: #12 ECU Sweeps Tulane

This is college baseball. Hiring AC today wouldn’t generate a ripple outside of a couple idiots in Baton Rouge, who would all take AC today. Barely anyone outside the tri-state area knows who Andy Cannizaro is . On a side note, nick saben is a legendary womanizer. Nobody cares. He’s not a criminal a...

Re: Tulane Beats TSU 8-2

8-4 in last 12. 14 to go. Considering where this team was it’s nice to have a little hope. Can they make a serious run and finish like 11-3?that would leave a record of 31-25 and going into the tournament with some confidence.

Re: Basketball Recruiting -- 2017

I'm glad we're getting Connor, and do think he's under-rated. Was leading scorer on one of the best Prep teams in the nation, one that only played other Prep Post Grad teams. There's higher ranked recruits coming out of Hargrave, but nobody filled the basket more than Crabtree. Now, if we can land ...

Re: Spring Practice

Under the new rules it appears we are at the max and can't bring anyone else this season. Yikes. Fritz seems like he's building a solid program bottom up and this should be a corner turning year. However we're one knee/ankle/shoulder injury away from same old same old Tulane. Finally we get a disci...

Re: Basketball Recruiting -- 2017

I still think we should hire Tubby Smith. It seemed like the ideal move would’ve been for Memphis to keep Tubby and bring on Penny as a HC in waiting. The Larry Brown rumors suggest it’s what the higher ups want too, something Brown was able to implement at SMU. But Penny and Tubby both seem to hav...

Re: Dave Dickerson

Boy does this show how big of a reach it was to hire DD at Tulane when he was hired. You get what you pay for, clearly. Yet MD would have to go 26-4 next year to match Dickerson's 3 year record. And arguably Dickerson inherited a Finney team that was worse than the Conroy team MD inherited... Wow :...

Re: Tulane loses the USF Series

I think Dannen was hired to fix football. The university had this thing built on campus and were stupid enough to think tailgating and oak trees would bring us all back no matter the product. They finally hired a builder whose organized and energetic to coach. All Tulane sports programs need to hir...

Re: Tulane loses the USF Series

Halfway point of the season and 12 wins? Time to write off this season and Dannen should take a HARD look at Jewitt's ability to be a head coach. In my opinion, it become more clear each game and/or series that he IS NOT head coach material. He should be released at the end of the season...... Pier...

Re: Tulane Athletics

Tulane coaches have always played with a short stick. Only the stick gets shorter every year as the P5 grows. We needed a coach that already understood that. Jewett coming from Vandy was completely the opposite of a coach that we need. They get anything they need over there. I don’t know what Danne...

Re: Basketball Recruiting -- 2017

It's funny how this recruit from Hargrave Academy, that very few outside of me on this board gave any credit to, is now putting us into a "the sky is falling" mode because he may flip to Memphis. Clearly, Penny Hardaway thinks the kid can play. But more importantly, I think Dannen needs to think lo...

Looks like penny has cherry picked Crabtree to Memphis . We’re down to 1 player in the next class. The name “Moses” better be appropriate. Is there a Jesus out there too?
