Is Walker definitely coming to Tulane; and does anyone know if Zhang passed the ACT (or got the sufficient score?)
I haven't seen anything where Walker has made a decision yet.

Re: Does any conference use this tourney design?

My idle mind was wandering and just thought that with an eight team tournament, a conference could have 4 best of three series, maybe even worse seeds at better seeds, then have a single elimination format at a neutral site. Possible advantages Max number of games per team would be 5 instead of six...

Re: AAC Baseball Tourney Thread

Maybe I'm just not getting it. We gave up NINE walks in four innings. Aren't you taught from Little League days that if you want to be a pitcher, you have to be able to throw the ball over the plate? Either you can or you can't. If you can't, then how does the pitching coach have anything to do wit...

Same problem as always. Bullpen can't hold the lead. That's why TJ had to leave Roper in so long. He threw 117 pitches.

And while you guys bitch and moan, Spoon has hit two 2-run homers and we lead ECU 4-1 in the bottom of the 7th. A win here and they move to the semis.

Claremont is no JC. It's an excellent school. May be an academic schollie and walk/on. (just surmising). Just going by the YouTube, it said Claremont McKenna College, so I assumed JUCO. Sorry about that. I see now that its Division III. Interesting arrangement they have, where athletes from 3 diffe...

Glad for the win tonight. Helps out AAC overall. AAC Conference RPI up to 4th. Any projection how many AAC/4th ranked conference gets into the post season? Long shot for TU but I’ll follow the conference teams. We have to win the tournament. Our RPI is not going to be good enough to get us in. Even...

What if ESPN went bankrupt and out of business? What would happen to all the contracts they have, both the big $$ ones and the lesser ones, like with the AAC, CUSA, etc.? The traditional networks already have a good portion of their programming blocked off. There's a glut of content thrown into the...

I was fortunate enough to meet Steve in early 2007, before he was diagnosed with ALS. He came into my store one day. He was one of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet. Almost embarrassed by his celebrity status. This was after the block, so of course we all knew who he was. Took the time to ch...

In addition to that the facilities have to be improved to show a real commitment to change things. The long time losing coupled with the the facility issues hurts recruiting which is the lifeblood if any program. There is some merit to the concept that these two go hand in hand regarding recruiting...
