Re: Spring Practice-2024
If Mensah is progressing that well, and Thompson wins the job this spring, don't be surprised if Kai jumps back into the portal next month.

Re: Troy Dannen to Nebraska
Anyone notice how the people on this board that were huge supporters of Dannen, and all the "behind the scenes" things he was accomplishing for Tulane are strangely silent now? Not a peep. They know they were fooled.

And tonight we saw what happens when a Will Wade led team faces a REAL opponent.
Gonzaga 86, McNeese St 65. Final
Down at one point 44-20 in the first half.

I'll make him a deal. Eliminate auto bids for mid-majors, but ALSO eliminate invites to any team that finishes .500 or less in their conference. What say you, Tom Izzo?tpstulane wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2024 1:10 pm Here we go:

Re: Spring Practice-2024
Will it never end?  Oh it's gonna end on Aug 29th! Probably not. If Thompson is named the starter, every game that he throws an interception or looks less than perfect, we'll hear about how we should be giving Kai a chance. What will be ignored is that he will have HAD his chance in sp...

Re: Pepperdine Series Thread
Disappointed but haven't given up yet. On the one hand the series win over Northwestern looks good now, their RPI is 50. On the other hand, honestly not sweeping Pepperdine at home is a head scratcher. They were swept in a 4 game series by freaking Western Michigan, and in 3 games by Villanova. Wha...

Think all you want, you are wrong. Sorry. Look at the rule. LEARN the rule. In all levels of play, the lines of the batter's box are part of the batter's box. A batter is out if his foot (or knee) is COMPLETELY outside of the batter's box. https://www.bing.com/videos/riverview/relatedvideo?q=Colleg...

And by rule the batters were not out of the box. Know the rule. In HS (NFHS) it's 7-3-2. i would have to look at rule. i think your interpretation is wrong but i also think umpires are reluctant to call having been a d1 soccer ref myself. Think all you want, you are wrong. Sorry. Look at the rule. ...

To put our early season into perspective: https://twitter.com/Guersmith/status/1764481189891493965 None of those three teams he mentioned even have a winning record. He should have just stated that UCI remains unbeaten after this weekend. We haven’t beaten anyone that would be noteworthy yet. I don...

Let the SEC and Big 10 walk. Make it clear that will be for all sports so no NCAA Basketball tourney nor any other NCAA championships for them. No one from the other conferences will play you in any sport. as soon as a sec or big team dangles several million $ guarantee just for showing up....schoo...

Re: CFP 14-team next but only one auto G5 spot
We'll be joining USF in the ACC eventually IMO, but the question is what version of the ACC will be left. I think the one positive here is whomever is left at least has some legacy name value. Even if its Wake Forest, Boston College, Syracuse, etc. And it seems, in spite of Duke's basketball histor...

Re: CFP 14-team next but only one auto G5 spot
As was foreseeable years ago, the P5 have now consumed themselves--eating their own young. And it won't stop at this. Next up variable revenue sharing within conferences--play for pay instead of pay for play. The individual school eyeball count will become paramount. If Tulane can keep winning, we ...

Re: Yale Series Thread
Actually, we are playing a middle of the pack Ivy League team. I think they were 10-11 in conference last year. There are teams in the Ivy League that every team in the over 25 men's beer league I umpire would defeat 100% of the time. Yale went 0-3 last weekend against that powerhouse Northern Flor...

Re: Tennessee and Virginia win NIL lawsuits challenging current restrictions
It’s now full Helter Skelter. The NCAA is dead and buried. The only way to reel in the madness is at the conference level. If a school wants to voluntarily be in a conference then here are the rules you have to follow—otherwise adios. Yes. I think the P’s will be ok with Pay for Play the G’s not so...

Good interview with Ty. Both he and Mario Williams credited offensive analyst Collin D'Angelo for getting them here. He recruited them out of HS when he was at LSU. Perfect example, the left handed batter #1, Oyama. Stands with his back foot on the front line, and when he lifts his right leg to start his swing, his calf and foot swing out OVER the corner of the plate. Yet if he gets hit, they're not going to call him out. Next example, left handed batter #16, ...

Re: UC-Irvine Series Thread
Wanna bet that we never have this many hit by pitches in a series again the entire season? Its not what the umpires are doing, its what UCI is doing that the umpires are allowing. We all know that AAC umpires and refs in every sport are less than adequate.

Re: UC-Irvine Series Thread
Did you look at how they're standing in the batter's box? Their back foot is ON the front line, in many cases OVER the front line, which isn't allowed. That's not "crowding the plate", that's purposely looking to get hit.
