Re: Melvin Frazier now projected 1st round pick

Golden State 28th pick if he’s still available. Mel worked out yesterday for the NBA Champs. https://www.mercurynews.com/2018/06/18/nba-draft-how-melvin-frazier-jr-fills-warriors-various-needs-at-28th-pick/ Could be one of the better fits for him, because they're one of the few teams that wouldn't ...

Re: Wake's QB Suspended

This is the Wake Forest SB Nation site, if anyone wants to see the other side's viewpoint. Their TE is suspended as well as their QB. Some of the comments are insightful because it seems a few people went to their spring game. https://www.bloggersodear.com/2018/6/14/17465972/kendall-hinton-suspended...

Re: NCAA Rule Changes

The ones you really want are players like Stephon Huderson, who signed in Dec just so he could start in school in Jan. A full year he was committed and he never wavered on that. You'll win with players like that, because at the end of they day, they're the ones that will gut it out in the fourth qu...

If WWL chooses the next PBP person, TG doesn't have a chance in hell. No way that LSU centric station gives a plum job like that to someone from Tulane.

Re: SEC looking to shakeup baseball rules

Of course that catch-all AAC/ACC/NCAA Revenue can be increased in any number of ways. Making a bowl game, making the NCAA tournament and winning even one game, etc, would all be included in that number, if I'm correct? Yes. But a portion the post season money maybe shared with the league. But it wo...

Re: SEC looking to shakeup baseball rules

Good point. So if we were in the ACC, we'd pretty much be not making more than a couple of million a year, even if we did no upgrades? Seems we have bigger issues. Is it all totally on lack of ticket revenue due to poor attendance?

Re: SEC looking to shakeup baseball rules

Based on that spreadsheet, we'd need to be taking in $16.5M in TV/NCAA rev each year just to break even. And that's without spending another dime on upgrading anything.

Re: Basketball Recruiting -- 2018

Woods and Crabtree are signed. Zhang is still listed just as a commit. Walker is a transfer, and all the media have reported him as a sit one -play three transfer, so my guess is its either done or in the paperwork stages.

Re: Basketball Recruiting -- 2018

Here's a nice little two minute video montage of our 4 recruits for this year, done by WDSU TV. (Moses Wood, Connor Crabtree, Kevin Zhang and Jordan Walker) I know its just highlights but at least it looks like they all can shoot.

Re: Does any conference use this tourney design?

I missed the single elimination in the finals. my bad, but I don't like it. Frankly, why would you play 2 of three only to play single elimination in the finals?? Its kind of a mix of Super Regionals and CFP, but it surely would increase overall attendance, and overall revenue for the league I woul...

Re: Does any conference use this tourney design?

Either way, three game series for 8 teams means it's a possible 9 games for the conference title. Playing three game series to get to single elimination makes no sense. How do you come up with 9 games? Take this season as an example. Tulane #8 plays at #1 Houston, three games. Wins the series 2-1. ...

Re: Tulane Football Camp May 27th

I agree with all of what y'all are saying. Just sucks when our state of affairs is so bad that hosting a camp with a former rival is the best way to get better players on our campus. My hate for LSU clearly outweighs most rational thoughts... You're not alone in feeling that way. I'd bet a majority...

OK, I'm confused. That al.com article is talking about him at USA's spring practice last month as being a 5th year senior for them this fall. Did something change all of a sudden that he decided to transfer?

Re: NCAA Baseball Tourney

Probably the NCAA's way of exacting some type of revenge against UCF for making their national championship claim. IF the NCAA had a bone to pick with UCF for claiming their National Championship it's their own fault. The NCAA doesn't recognize a D1 National Champion in football. They cannot fix th...

Re: Does any conference use this tourney design?

My idle mind was wandering and just thought that with an eight team tournament, a conference could have 4 best of three series, maybe even worse seeds at better seeds, then have a single elimination format at a neutral site. Possible advantages Max number of games per team would be 5 instead of six...

Re: AAC Baseball Tourney Thread

Maybe I'm just not getting it. We gave up NINE walks in four innings. Aren't you taught from Little League days that if you want to be a pitcher, you have to be able to throw the ball over the plate? Either you can or you can't. If you can't, then how does the pitching coach have anything to do wit...
