Re: Women's Golf # 9 in the Country

Don't want to burst anybody's bubble or be Debbie Downer, but this ranking apparently comes by virtue of the tourney win. I'm not sure if anyone noticed but that tourney had no P5 participants and only 4 G5 schools (USA, WKU, Troy and UAB). The team also needed (and got) a stellar final round/day t...

Re: Oklahoma 56 - Tulane 14

Right. That's what I said. All the bets were coming in on OU to cover, and yet the spread went down. Not sure how that would entice anyone to put money on Baylor.

Re: Women's Golf on the Leaderboard

I guess this is where the trickle down effect of P5 money comes into play. More funds for the athletic dept means more money available for scholarships, so you get better players, even in minor sports. In addition, you can actually fund more sports because of the money. Either way, we're one of only...

Re: Tanner Lee

He's #110 in total QBR according to espn. http://www.espn.com/ncf/qbr/_/page/3 Not sure what the difference between qualified and unqualified is. It looks like it may be the total number of plays. Not sure. But in the qualified, he's #110 of 130. In the unqualified he's #130 of 173. Neither Brantle...

Re: Army Game Thread

Just trying to understand. You say GIVE IT TIME, but then you imply there is a big problem. Which is it? Steve, GPS basically answered that for me. The main problem is talent, more specifically the lack of. And unlike the NFL or NBA where you can't just go sign a bunch of free agents, we're talking...

Re: Army Game Thread

I'm really sick of people who watched 4 years of what CJ did to this program and yet still believe it can be completely turned around in 15 games. Can you imagine what we would have looked like Saturday if CJ and Eric Price were still in charge? We'd have been looking at 77-0 or worse, no offense w...

Re: Army Game Thread

A certain online nickle and dime psychologist loves to post about his perceptions of my misery. But you seem to LIVE for the opportunity to bash anything Dannen related. We all know that if Tulane hired Andy Cannizaro, the Wave would have upset OU. doubtful because we would still have fritz and we ...

I must admit, even Baker Mayfield didn't throw Nickerson's way hardly at all the entire game.

Anyone interested in Oklahoma -26 at Baylor this weekend? Line started at -27.5 and all the money is being bet on OU, but the spread went down.

But a win is a win. We're just more likely to win a game 24-21 than we are to win 44-41.

Re: Oklahoma 56 - Tulane 14

On OU the trip this weekend I spoke to a parent who's son happens to play on defense. He told me since we like to run the ball a lot at practice the defense doesn't get to see enough live passing. He said the AAC is full of big pass attacks. He said we may be under prepared to defend the pass. OU e...

Re: Fritz offense

This same Oklahoma team went into West Virginia last year, which is a difficult place to play, and beat the 10th ranked Mountaineers 56-28. You people act like we just lost to ULaLa or something.

Re: Fritz offense

I call BS on the Fritz offense. He has to bring it into the 21st century. There has to be balance between running and passing. We were told Brantley struggled last year because he had mono, lost weight, and had an injured shoulder. There's no improvement in the passing game this year. If we can't t...

Re: Fritz offense

the cupboard was not bare, i hate this argument. also the "he needs 3 years minimum" excuse is invalid because Fritz came in saying that he tailors to the talent he has. I mean, it's obvious that was a blatant lie, but here we are. Yes he tailors to the talent. What you're missing is, the...

Re: Fritz offense

Back to the same thing I mentioned earlier in the week on another thread: this is NOT a situation like when Teevens left the team with lots of talent and Bowden took advantage of it. First Toledo, then CJ pretty much left the cupboard bare.
